Name: Ksana
Bonarda
Winery review: The
bouquet is floral and lightly jammy, with berry aromas and a savory note or
two. To the uninitiated, this is a great introduction to Bonarda. Finishes
solid. Very sweet, berry smell with some rooty undertones. Kind of dry, makes
your lips pucker.
My review: Like
many of the other wines at today's tasting, it was very weak on nose—virtually
no aroma. On the palate, it was dry and the tannins come through.
Other than that, it didn’t really make much of an impression on me.
I tasted this on its own with no food.
